The Election, according to 3rd graders.
Student #1: My mom is going to vote for Obama, because she cares most about women’s rights, and he is better for women.
Student #2: My mom is going to vote for him too. But my dad is going to vote for Romney, because he cares more about the economy.
Student #3: I would vote for Obama since I’m a girl and I care about women’s issues.
Student #1: Me too! If Romney wins, we’re all in trouble. We couldn’t go to school any more because he will cut school funds and will just give tax breaks to the rich.
Student #3: Yeah! I would totally vote for Obama, too. He’s more in touch with American people.
Student #2: I would have considered Romney, but then he chose to run with Paul Ryan!
Student #3: Oh yeah! Paul Ryan was not a good choice at all!
Student #4: Hey guys? You know we’re in 3rd grade, right?
Student #1: So what? Kids have rights too, you know!
Student #2: Yeah!! We should create a 3rd grade Congress!
(I think it was at this point that I was laughing too hard to continuing keeping track of the conversation.)
