New York Sightings
Based on my sighting earlier this week (Voldermort! At brunch!), I thought it might be fun to share the other sightings I have had in the city, and my immediate stream-of-conscious commentary on them:
- Leonardo DiCaprio: baseball hat. biking. on my corner. swoon. i may have crossed the street following him, even though it was in the opposite direction of where I was going.
- Lucy Lui: Outside of the Container Store with someone carrying her bags, wearing fur and the largest sunglasses. I just wanted to tell her Girl, please.
- Robert DeNiro: So chill and laidback. Complete opposite of me at the time.
- Harvey Keitel: Eating brunch next to us and gave us the donuts they sent out for him and he didn’t want. Oh, and then Robert DeNiro walked in and sat down at the table with him. Probably the least I ever paid attention to the food I was eating, ever.
- Blake Lively: Eh. Hair is to die for, but I’m still waiting to see Chuck.
- Mario Batali: I’ve actually seen him a bunch of times, but my favorite was on his scooter, stopped at a light, with his son on the back. Either way, he really is that large, and yes, he’s always wearing the orange shoes.
- Liev Shriever: Son on his shoulders, strolling through the park. Son has the brightest white-blonde hair I’ve ever seen, as well as the biggest smile. Dad wasn’t too bad, either.
- David Hyde Pierce: On the subway. Looked pissed. But it was 6:45am, so I’ll give him a pass.
- Eric Ripert: This wasn’t too exciting for me, but Jon may have wet his pants a little.
- Claire Danes: Very girl next door. Kinda wanted to ask her if she wanted to be my friend.
- Bobby Flay: All I really wanted to do is tell him that if he is going to use it so much, he should definitely be pronouncing “chipotle” correctly.
- Michael Emerson: BEN. BEN LYNUS. LOST. Never have I been more afraid of a real person based on their fictional character. I really thought he was going to mind-warp me.
- Jon Stewart: Arrived at a restaurant with his family for brunch. So adorable together! He held the door for me, and seemed super sweet. Much shorter in person.
