You guys are fantastic at helping someone feel...
I really do love my job, but, just as every other one I’m sure, it comes with its frustrations at times. I have a lot of patience and passion when working with kids, but with adults (especially stubborn, argumentative ones) it can be in short supply.
Luckily, I love returning to our classroom, where the two adults present are pretty kickass (if I do say so myself).

Sunday Chores = The ultimate in negotiation...
Jon: Ill do the dishes, since you cooked dinner. Me: Sounds good to me!
(15 mins later, movie paused)
Me: Do you mind getting the laundry from the dryer, since I did it til this point? Jon: But I have to start the dishes. Why don’t I do the dishes while you get the laundry? Me: Because that was already making up for me cooking dinner! Jon: Okay…so if you get the laundry, I’ll...
Today was for parent conferences.
Conferences can be an intimidating experience but today went well. And I have to say, hearing that the kids are going home happy and are excited to come to school? Best feeling a teacher can have.
Today, in perspective.
Half-Empty:
I woke up to squeaking. I know that squeaking. I woke Jon up and we determined that in fact, yes, there was a mouse caught in a trap leftover from the summer. (Insert as many expletives as you can imagine here.)
I have not been sleeping well this week for some reason, and the bags under my eyes are starting to be my new accessories.
Working late meant no yoga.
Rain. And cold. And...
Tuesday Catch-Up
[yes, i know everyone else does this on monday, but, like most things regarding tumblr right now, i’m a day behind]

Working on: Parent/Teacher Conference Prep and the bulletin board display outside.
Thinking about: what I need to plan for class this Saturday; dinner tonight; this sty that is...
An Overheard Conversation.
Girl 1: Oh Em Gee, you are SO jappy today!
Girl 2: Me? I’m not jappy! You’re jappy!
1: Well, if I’m jappy, you’re jappy, too.
2: I don’t know…I really don’t think I’m jappy.
1: Oh, come on! You’re a total JAP, and besides, I can’t be jappy by myself.
2: Okay, I’m jappy, too.
1: Yes! We’re both jappy, together!

I hope you’re enjoying lots of carbs, hydrating, and able to get a few hours of sleep tonight. (Damn those nerves and excited, anxious butterflies, huh?)
I am so excited for you! Tomorrow is your reward for the past few months of training. Enjoy ever single second of your run. Dig deep when it…

Hold up...The Hunger Games isn't available on...
It is Friday night, and all I want is to re-read these books. And iBooks doesn’t have them? What good are you, Internet Bookstore, if you can’t satisfy these impulse urges?
Also, oh, how Friday night has changed.
Sometimes I wonder what the world will be like...
I mean, when I was their age I was learning how to find books using the Dewey Decimal system. Look how that worked out for us all, huh.
